Sooners name football captains

Sam Bradford, Jon Cooper, Brody Eldridge, Nic Harris and Gerald McCoy have been named Oklahoma's team captains for the upcoming football season.

The players were selected in a vote taken by the team.

Bradford, a quarterback, Cooper, a center, and Eldridge, a tight end/fullback are the offensive captains. Harris, a safety, and McCoy, a defensive tackle, are the defensive captains.

Cooper and Harris are seniors, Eldridge a junior and Bradford and McCoy redshirt sophomores.

Oklahoma opens its 2008 season this Saturday when it hosts UT-Chattanooga. Kickoff is set for 6:10 p.m.

Well James OU plays its first conference road game at Baylor, so I'll disagree with you and say that OU will win a road game. Plus you said "they will squeak out a victory at Washington" and followed it up with "OU will not win one road game this year MARK IT DOWN!" Hmmmm...James makes Forrest Gump look like Albert Einstein.

James, please change your home-town to someplace outside the state. You are an embarrassment to the good people of Oklahoma. You have the mentality of a 3rd grader (I apologize to 3rd graders here), and zero creativity. Every article that mentions OU gets the same moronic response from you. Please come up with something original...soon, Loser.

Choke-lahoma is overated, AGAIN!!! Let me sum up the gooners season...Choke-lahoma will win there first 2 games they will squeak out a victory at Washington and it go either way agianst TCU.(TCU has owned the gooners latley) OU will not win one road game this year MARK IT DOWN!...8-3 MAYBE 7-4,no Big12 CG and, no BSC bowl,THANK GOD!!! We dont need you
