Oklahoma picked up its fifth commitment for the 2015 class Friday when Dallas South Oak Cliff cornerback Jamile Johnson committed to the Sooners.
Johnson (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) had offers from Arkansas, Colorado State, Louisiana Tech, Nebraska, Texas Tech and Washington State.
He is ranked as the No. 31 cornerback in the country by Rivals.com, which first reported the commitment.
Johnson picked up the offer from OU in early October during a visit to Norman.
Johnson is the first defensive back commitment for the Sooners for the 2015 class and the third commit from Texas.
He joins Allen offensive lineman/tight end Bobby Evans and Houston Cypress Falls defensive tackle Du’Vonta Lampkin as commits from the Lone Star state. Oklahoma also has commits from Jenks defensive tackle Marquise Overton and Casady offensive lineman Josh Wariboko-Alali.
