ke says he hasn't spoken with his brother since July 27, because of the football demands. No reason they couldn't eat dinner together a time or two this week.

The Sooners and Cowboys have bowled in the same state at the same time only twice, in 1984 and 1985, when OU was in Miami for the Orange Bowl and OSU in Jacksonville for the Gator. But Jacksonville and Miami are 351 miles apart; fat chance for Sooners and Cowboys to run into each other on a golf course or at the beach.

This week, though, OU is practicing at Pinnacle High School, OSU at Corona del Sol High School, some 27 miles apart. Their games are at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe (Insight) and University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale (Fiesta), also 27 miles apart.

With Scottsdale right in the middle of all of it, ready to host a week full of Bedlam.
