SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras (AP) — Sammy Ochoa, Eddie Johnson and Brad Evans scored as the Seattle Sounders beat Honduran club Marathon 3-2 on Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League.

The winning goal came when Evans headed in a corner from Mario Roberto Martinez in the 77th minute for Seattle.

Seattle finished with nine points in Group Four.

Ochoa gave Seattle a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 11th minute before Mario Berrios equalized for Marathon with a penalty in the 34th.

Eddie Johnson gave Seattle a lead in the 62th minute, but Marathon's Berrios leveled it again with a second penalty five minutes later.

Both teams played two years ago when Marathon won a 2-1 against the Sounders. They will play again in Seattle on Oct. 24.
