South Korea should defend South Korea

Published: April 7, 2013

We saved South Korea in the 1950s. Thousands of Americans died while South Korea's young people were partying and riding their motorbikes around the cities. The present situation is no surprise. South Korea has had 60 years to prepare for war with North Korea. We have no business risking American lives to protect South Korea. We've been spending money stationing troops in South Korea, while their economy has been booming.

If they really want to save their country, let them mobilize their people. North Korea isn't fazed in the least by our B-2 bombers. They know we won't attack them first. The responsibility for defending South Korea lies with South Korea, not the United States.
