SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP) — Southampton beat West Bromwich Albion 1-0 on Saturday for only a second win in its last 10 games in the English Premier League.

In a match of few highlights, second-half substitute Gaston Ramirez met Nathaniel Clyne's pass with a classy setup for Adam Lallana to score in the 66th minute.

The loss ended West Brom's four-match unbeaten run, the last in charge for assistant coach Keith Downing since Steve Clarke was fired more than a month ago. Clarke's successor, Pepe Mel, was revealed on Thursday and the Spaniard was on hand in the stands at St. Mary's.
