Special needs bowling league now forming

YUKON -- The Yukon Spirit League is currently offering enrollment for all individuals of all ages with disabilities for bowling.

Spirit Bowling will be held each Tuesday of February beginning Feb. 1 and running through Feb. 22. Games will be held at Yukon Lanes, 500 E Main, beginning at 4 p.m.

To enroll, participants will need to stop by the Yukon Parks & Recreation Office, 532 W Main. Cost is $25 for the league and includes up to two games per week.

Buddies will be on hand each week to assist players.

Players will learn the basics of bowling as well enjoying fellowship with fellow bowlers. Lane bumpers and ball ramps will be available for the bowlers to use.

Buddies are a special part of the league. Buddies help assist and teach the players the game of bowling. There is no charge for being a buddy.
