Speed limit reduced on part of Pa. turnpike

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — The winter storm has dumped five inches of snow or more on parts of central and northern Pennsylvania.

The National Weather Service says more than five inches has been recorded in Blair County, and five inches in Tioga, Potter and Lycoming counties.

But Philadelphia International Airport is now reporting no significant flight delays. Airport spokeswoman Stacy said earlier Saturday that there were delays of a little over an hour, mostly on arriving flights, but says the airport is now running "close to a normal schedule."

Pennsylvania Turnpike officials have imposed a 45 mph speed limit on almost 300 miles of the turnpike from the Ohio line to the Morgantown Interchange, and state transportation officials imposed a similar reduction on interstates 78, 80, 81 and 380 and other eastern Pennsylvania roads.
