Spike's Club registration begins at Norman museum

Registration is open for a six-week spring session of Spike's Club, an after-school program at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in Norman.

— Registration is open for a six-week spring session of Spike's Club, an after- school program at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History for children in first through fifth grades.

Session I, for children in first and second grades, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, April 3 through May 8.

Session II, for children in third through fifth grades, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdays, April 5 through May 10.

“Way of the Warrior” is the theme of the spring session, sponsored by Republic Bank and Trust Co. Participants will be able to look at artifacts from real Oceania warriors, explore museum galleries, study objects from the museum collections, play games and do crafts.

Cost is $35 per session for museum members or $45 for nonmembers. Each participant will receive a Spike's Club T-shirt with registration.

To register, call the museum education department at 325-1008. Early registration is recommended.
