Spiro man arrested in shooting death of pregnant woman
A Spiro man was arrested Thursday in the deaths of a woman and her unborn baby.
POTEAU — A Spiro man has been arrested in the deaths of a woman and her unborn child, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reports.
Christopher Simpson, 25, who is believed to be the father of the unborn child, was arrested Thursday by investigators from the Le Flore County District Attorney's office.
Simpson was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree murder in Le Flore County District Court, a criminal court clerk said Friday.
OSBI agents say Simpson shot and killed Kaloni Flynn on April 9. Flynn was 12 weeks pregnant. Flynn was found inside her car.
Investigators picked up Simpson in Poteau Thursday night and took him to the Le Flore County jail where he is held on homicide complaints, the OSBI reports in a news release Friday.
