MIAMI (AP) — Erik Spoelstra gets paid to make the tough decisions for the Miami Heat. He'll earn his salary this month.
Coming up with a playoff rotation figures to be a particularly arduous task for Spoelstra, who because of an array of circumstances has inserted 14 different players into his starting lineups this season.
In recent weeks, some players have gone from starter to out of the rotation entirely, and vice versa.
And with the top seed for the Eastern Conference playoffs very much up for grabs, Spoelstra is now facing the challenge of finding a way to finish the regular season the right way, get key players rest if they need, and figure out which nine or 10 guys will be in the mix when the postseason opens.
