KWTV-9 sports director Dean Blevins said he plans to return to the air Sunday night on "The Oklahoma Sports Blitz” a month after suffering a severe head injury.

During the Jan. 26 ice storm, Blevins slipped on the ice and hit his head on a porch step at his Edmond home. He said he was unconscious for 15 to 20 minutes and his "blood vessels reptured and hemorraged along the brain.”

As part of his recovery, Blevins said he has undergone cognitive therapy for two hours a day twice a week.

Fox to air Rangers
Fox Sports Oklahoma plans to carry a record 131 Texas Rangers telecasts this season, up from 110 telecasts last season on Fox Sports Southwest. The network also will air five spring-training games, beginning with a game March 7 against the Chicago White Sox.

Josh Lewin, Tom Grieve and Jim Knox return as the announce team.

Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton will be featured on an MLB Network documenary, "Josh Hamilton: Resurrecting the Dream,” at 8 tonight. ... Bob Carpenter and Kenny Mossman will call the Bedlam women’s basketball game in Norman at noon Saturday on KAUT-43.
