Fox Sports' main college football announce team of Gus Johnson, Charles Davis and sideline analyst Tim Brewster will have a busy weekend, broadcasting both the inaugural Pac 12 and Big Ten championship games.
The trio will call the Pac 12 game at 7 tonight in Eugene, Ore., matching UCLA and Oregon, and then travel more than 1,900 miles to Indianapolis to call the Big Ten game at 7 p.m. Saturday, matching Wisconsin and Michigan State.
Both games are preceded at 6:30 by live on-site pregame shows with regulars Kevin Frazier and Marcus Allen and guest analysts John Lynch on Friday night and Dhani Jones on Saturday night.
— ESPN's “College GameDay” on Saturday (8-9 a.m. on ESPNU and 9-11 a.m. on ESPN) will include a report on the death of OU linebacker Austin Box and its effect on the team. “GameDay” will be at the SEC championship in Atlanta for the third time in the last four years.
— CBS' SEC final pregame show at 2 p.m. Saturday will include a report on LSU quarterbacks coach Steve Kragthorpe, a former Tulsa head coach, who is battling Parkinson's disease. Host Tim Brando and analysts Spencer Tillman, Archie Manning and Tony Barnhart will appear at the Georgia Dome.
— Fox Sports Oklahoma will air both high school state final football games today from Stillwater: Guthrie vs. MacArthur in 5A at 11 a.m. and Wagoner vs. Clinton in 4A final at 7:30 p.m. Mike Wolfe, Steve Marshall and Rod Thompson will call the games.
— OETA-13 will rebroadcast its “Band Bedlam” special at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Producers shadowed the OU and OSU marching bands for several home games, and tiny HD cameras were attached to a few band members as they performed to provide extraordinary camera angles.
