Sports media notebook: NBA TV to produce up to eight playoff games

Fox Sports Oklahoma can carry only first-round Thunder telecasts

— ABC delivered its highest-rated and most-viewed NBA regular season ever, averaging a 3.3 household rating and 5,421,000 viewers for its 15 broadcasts, a 10 percent ratings increase from last season.

— ESPN has selected six Big Ten football games for prime-time telecasts on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. They are Boise State at Michigan State on Aug. 31, Notre Dame at Michigan State on Sept. 15, Wisconsin at Nebraska on Sept. 29, Nebraska at Ohio State on Oct. 6, and Ohio State at Penn State and Michigan at Nebraska on Oct. 27.

— HBO's Emmy award-winning reality series “24/7” is coming to TNT, which will air replays of the four-part series “24/7 Mayweather/Cotto” on four consecutive nights, beginning Tuesday. The series will lead up to the HBO pay-per-view telecast on May 5 when Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto battle for Cotto's world super welterweight title.
