Tennis greats John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg were opposites in their style of play and on-court demeanor, making for one of the game's most intense rivalries in the late '70s and early '80s.
HBO looks back at their on-court battles and their great Wimbledon showdown in the 1980 men's final in “McEnroe/Borg: Fire & Ice,” premiering at 9 p.m. Saturday.
The film addresses the emotional problems of Borg, who quit the game at age 26, and the temper tantrums of McEnroe, who never won a major title after he turned 25.
NBC retains Olympics through 2020
Holding off bids from ESPN/ABC and Fox, NBC has secured Olympic broadcast rights through 2020 for $4.38 billion. NBC has aired the games since 1988.
The International Olympic Committee had opened the bidding for the 2014 Sochi Winter Games and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Games on Tuesday, but also allowed bidders to include the following two Olympics in their offers.
