The past few weeks have been wild for Westmoore’s DeShawn Lookout. This week, he’ll get a chance to represent Oklahoma in the fifth annual Heartland Classic, which begins Tuesday at both Norman high schools and at Southmoore.
Southmoore junior Jordan Henry knocked off three-time defending state champion Madison Westby of Tulsa Kelley, a player who is heading to the University of Southern California on a tennis scholarship. It was the first time Westby had been beaten in high school play.
After going 2-2 against No. 1 Southmoore during the regular season, No. 3 Westmoore is hoping it gets another shot in the championship game Tuesday during the Class 6A state slowpitch softball tournament.
