Brandon Weeden to help with Oklahoma tornado cleanup

Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden is heading home to help his cherished Oklahoma heal. Weeden will return to his home state over the holiday weekend to assist in any way he can in the aftermath of the deadly tornado that tore through Moore, Okla., killing 24 people and destroying more than a thousand homes in the Oklahoma City suburb earlier this week.

Marcus Smart accepts invitation to USA U19 World Training Camp

Last summer, before he had even played a college game, Marcus Smart fueled his U18 USA team to the Gold at the FIBA Americas Championship, starting at point guard and leading the tournament in steals. Now, the Oklahoma State star sophomore is back, pledging to help his country’s hoops community again by accepting an invitation to the U19 Training Camp in Colorado Springs next month.

Due to the devastating tornado that ripped through Moore, the Big 12 Tournament has been pushed back a day. Originally scheduled to start on Wednesday, it will now begin Thursday morning, with the format of the tournament shifting from double-elimination to pool play.
