Pero Antic on Thabo Sefolosha arrest: 'It wasn't justice what they did to him'

On the April night former Thunder guard Thabo Sefolosha suffered a broken leg in an altercation with New York City police, Pero Antic was right there with him.

Sefolosha and Antic testified in court Wednesday in an attempt to clear the former's name. On Friday, Sefolosha was acquitted of all charges, and Antic was overjoyed for his friend and former teammate.

"I'm happy for Thabo and his recovery because ATL needs him," Antic said Friday in Oklahoma City, where his new team, Fenerbahce Ulker of Turkey, was preparing to play the Thunder as a part of the preseason Euroleague Basketball World Tour. "He's one of the best defenders in the league, he's like a brother to me, so I wish him all the best.

On Friday, former Thunder guard Thabo Sefolosha was found not guilty of charges stemming from an April incident with police outside a New York City night club. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant were asked about the ruling. Here's what they had to say:

Westbrook: “Great guy, man. Once I heard whatever happened that night — especially that he was injured, that was the most important part, that he hurt himself — I just called to check on him, his family. He has a great family; Thabo's a great guy. He's been great since he's been here; he was at my wedding, he's a real good guy to talk to. So, I'm happy everything's going well for him.”
