STILLWATER — As the Sooners sprinted, leaped and back-flipped — yes, back-flipped — around them, the Cowboys trudged off the Boone Pickens Stadium turf. This was a worn down bunch. A 58-23 beatdown in Bedlam can have that effect.
STILLWATER — Joe Mixon took a handoff and glided to his left in search of blockers. The Oklahoma running back spun 360 degrees, slipped out of an arm tackle and changed directions before he finally found one. Quarterback Baker Mayfield thrust his palms into cornerback Ashton Lampkin's chest, knocking him to the ground and springing Mixon free for a 66-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. A couple hours later, after all the celebrating of 58-23 win over Oklahoma State, center Ty Darlington summed it up: “There's your Heisman moment right there.”
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph made his 2015 Bedlam debut midway through the second quarter facing a double-digit deficit. A hopeful home crowd roared as he ran across the frozen turf. One-year removed from his Norman heroics, Rudolph and his bum foot replaced J.W. Walsh. Rudolph's first pass hit receiver David Glidden for no gain. His second throw fell incomplete to Jhajuan Seales.
