Spring football Q&A with Andre Sexton Spring football Q&A with Andre Sexton

You've moved into the hybrid-linebacker spot that Donovan Woods played last year. How's it going so far?

It's fun. I'm loving it. It's pretty much like last year, but I'm just closer in the box and permanently down there.
What's the biggest difference?
Just being a little bit more physical, staying in the box and fighting with linemen more. Now I have to focus on making sure I have enough muscle on me so I don't get hurt during the season.
Will it be like night and day once you guys are going full speed?
Today we were banging a little bit, and it was fine. I'm just going to run around faster and avoid those linemen and get off those blocks.
You played some pickup basketball over the summer with a couple of the women's basketball players. How were they?
I did play with a couple of them. Danielle (Green) was really good. She made me look pretty bad out there a couple of times. She has a real nice shot, and I see the carryover from playing over there with us.
How was your time off between the bowl and the start of spring ball?
I don't know where that two months went. It felt like maybe we had a couple weeks off since bowl practice. You say two and a half months and I'm thinking, ‘Man, can that be right?' It flew by so fast.
