For the musicians who play the accordion, it’s considered a 28-pound orchestra in a box.

Some of the finest local accordion musicians will be in Edmond for the third annual Big Squeeze Accordion Extravaganza from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the UCO Jazz Lab.

Don’t think the instrument is only good for waltzes and polkas. The music can range from classical to jazz, mariachi to Cajun to French cafe music. I promise this event will put a long-lasting smile on your face.

My wife and I will be there, so I hope you will join us for an afternoon of entertainment. Tickets are $10 at the door. The UCO Jazz Lab is at 100 E Fifth St. For more information, call 326-1124.
