St. Anthony Hospital names Tulsa native as president

Tulsa native Michael Beaver joins St. Anthony Hospital from San Antonio's Methodist Healthcare System.

SSM Health Care Oklahoma on Monday named Tulsa native Michael Beaver president of St. Anthony Hospital. Beaver relocated from San Antonio, Texas, where he most recently served Methodist Healthcare System as chief operating officer for three hospitals with a combined full-time staff of 4,300.

Beaver succeeds Joe Hodges, who was appointed regional president of SSM Health Care Oklahoma in February. According to a hospital spokeswoman, he will be responsible for continuing to improve quality, safety and the growth of services at St. Anthony, including deepening alignment and relationships with physicians and strengthening patient, physician and employee satisfaction.

Beaver's degrees are a master's degree in health care administration, Trinity University; Juris Doctorate, University of Oklahoma College of Law; bachelor's degree, speech communication, Oklahoma State University.
