Stabbing on Saturday in Norman leaves one woman dead

A man was arrested Saturday afternoon after a stabbing that left one woman dead.

Abid Sandhu, 37, was arrested about 4:20 a.m. Saturday on a murder complaint, and he was booked into the Cleveland County jail.

He is accused in the stabbing death of his wife, Sidra Sandhu.

About 3:35 a.m. Saturday, a man called Norman police and told dispatchers he had killed someone, police said.

The man said he needed police at 3653 SE 24 in Norman, then hung up.

When officers arrived at the address, they found Sidra Sandhu dead of apparent knife wounds, police said.
