FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Standout North Dakota State University linebacker Grant Olson will play in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision title game after a health scare.

Olson was hospitalized earlier in the week because of a swollen appendix. He practiced on Thursday and says he's fine for Saturday's game.

Olson is a team captain and the team's leading tackler. In the FCS quarterfinals against Wofford he set a school record with 29 tackles.

NDSU plays Sam Houston State on Saturday afternoon in Frisco, Texas, for the FCS title. It's a rematch of last year's championship game that was won by NDSU.
