Check the batteries in your lightsaber and practice your Yoda voice, because “Star Wars” Reads Day is coming Saturday to Barnes & Noble stores nationwide.

“‘Star Wars' fans, young and old alike, are invited to dress as their favorite characters and join Barnes & Noble's second annual celebration of the popular intergalactic tales,” a news release states. “Exclusive giveaways and activities from more than 18 publishers of ‘Star Wars'-related books will ensure Jedi and Padawans from every age group will be delighted and entertained.”

The Barnes & Noble store near Quail Springs Mall will offer “Star Wars” story time at 11 a.m. and will host a costume contest, arts and crafts and other activities.

Workers will demonstrate the Angry Birds “Star Wars” app on the NOOK HD+ tablet and show fans the various “Star Wars” novels, comics and magazines available for download.

All activities are free. For more information, contact the Barnes & Noble store nearest to you.
