Car incident nets jail time
A woman who allowed children to ride on her speeding car has received a one-month sentence in the Tulsa County jail for the death of a girl. Marsie Lee Cooper was driving along Oswego Avenue in March 2007 when she slammed on the brakes, throwing some of the children to the street. Among them was Brittany Nears, 15, who hit her head on the pavement and later died.
