Donors meet blood needOklahoma Blood Institute officials said Monday the critical need for blood has ended thanks to people who donated blood over the past two weeks. The institute announced an urgent-need situation Dec. 28, and continued with less than a two-day supply of blood until Monday. "This was the first time in 10 months that OBI was forced to make a public appeal for blood donors,” an official said.

Slain family rememberedA vigil for a slain El Reno woman and her children will be tonight in El Reno. The bodies of Summer Rust, 25; her daughters, Kirsten Rust, 7, Autumn Rust, 7, and Evynn Garas, 3; and her son, Teagin Rust, 4, were found in their El Reno apartment Jan. 12, 2009.
