Man treated for stabbing
A man was in critical condition Saturday after a Friday stabbing in Oklahoma City. About 8:45 p.m. Friday, police were called to the area of NW 10 and Pennsylvania Avenue, where they found the victim, police Capt. Lisa Camacho said. The victim, whose name has not been released, told police a man stabbed him during an argument in the 2300 block of NW 10, Camacho said. The victim went into cardiac arrest, but was revived.

Teenager drowns
A Chickasha teen stopped breathing after sinking into a pond near Stillwater on Friday and was pronounced dead Saturday, the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. About 10 p.m. Friday, Irving Vuviat, 16, was swimming in a pond at Cooperland Raceway, southwest of Stillwater, when he submerged and did not resurface, troopers said. A bystander jumped in and found Vuviat, who was not breathing. Vuviat received CPR until paramedics arrived and was flown to

hospital, where he died about 1:45 a.m.

Food drive sets record
A record-setting 684,032 pounds of food and $576,889 were donated during this year’s Feeding Hope and Letter Carrier Food Drive, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma said. This drive will provide more than 4.5 million meals to hungry Oklahomans this summer. During the food drive, nearly 75 metro-area businesses joined the National Association of Letter Carriers and post offices in 30 counties to combat hunger.
