Take a look at the season records for Oklahoma's small college football teams. With the exception of Langston and Bacone, the state of NCAA Division II and NAIA football here is subpar. Otherwise, out-of-state teams from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and Great American Conference are feasting on Oklahoma programs, some that appear years from being competitive. Red tape, politics and different financial philosophies would undoubtedly interfere, but it really would make sense if all small-college football schools in Oklahoma would form one conference.

1. Langston (4-3): Lions could easily win last three regular-season games

2. Southeastern State (3-4): Savage Storm has won two straight

3. Bacone (6-3): Just a hunch, but Warriors would lose to the next four teams in the power poll

4. East Central (3-5): Ouachita Baptist is tough to say — and will be tough to beat in football on Saturday

5. Southwestern State (1-6): Must cut down on turnovers, penalties

6. Central Oklahoma (1-6): Do Bronchos have the heart to win the last three?

7. Northeastern State (1-7): Running back Joel Rockmore was Big Man on Campus this week

8. Southern Nazarene (1-7): Winnable game Saturday at Southwestern State

9. Northwestern State (1-7): Rangers avoid winless season (told you so)
