The season has blown by for Oklahoma's state college football teams. This is the last week for most. Northeastern A&M, which is not included in the power poll since it is a junior college, hopes to extend its season another week. The Golden Norse (9-1, No. 4 in NJCAA) will play Navarro, Texas, at 2 p.m. Saturday in Miami, OK, for the Southwest Junior College Football Conference postseason championship. The winner moves on to the national tournament. ... Southeastern State, Langston, East Central and Panhandle State have a chance to finish .500 or better. That says a lot considering Oklahoma state college football has been down for a few years.
*1. Bacone (7-3): Bacone football program has come a long way.
*2. Southeastern State (4-5): Season finale vs. East Central should be a dandy.
*3. Langston (5-4): Lions will finish the season on a good note.
*4. East Central (5-5): Good season considering mediocre offense, loss of All-America defensive end Armonty Bryant.
*5. Southwestern State (3-6): Bulldogs take on ranked Harding — on the road.
*6. Northeastern State (3-7): RiverHawks will take on Central Oklahoma for President's Cup — whatever that is.
*7. Central Oklahoma (2-7): Will tough loss to Southwest Baptist linger a week later?
*8. Northwestern State (3-7): Survived scare from Southern Nazarene.
*9. Panhandle State (4-5): Popped Wayland Baptist for 67 points.
*10. Southern Nazarene (1-9): Guaranteed win Saturday — wait and see.
