JACKSON, N.J. (AP) — State inspectors are still reviewing paperwork required for a New Jersey theme park to open what it calls the world's tallest and fastest drop ride.

A media preview of Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson was cancelled Wednesday as the state hadn't yet granted it an operating permit.

Riders will be hoisted 415 feet in the air and dropped back to the ground at 90 mph. Adding to the thrill: The park's Kingda Ka roller coaster trains will hurl toward riders on Zumanjaro at speeds of up to 128 mph.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Community Affairs would not say whether the ride will be approved for a planned July 4 opening.

She says the agency is working with the park on final details.
