State should double fines and impound vehicles on uninsured drivers

Oklahoma continues as one of the worst states in the nation for the number of drivers on the road with no insurance — roughly one of every four drivers. State officials know this, law enforcement knows this and so do the insurance companies. But year after year this rate remains one of the worst. I suggest Oklahoma copy successful states by doubling the fine and perhaps impounding the vehicle. I'm tired of supporting illegal behavior with higher insurance rates and taxes. Let's actually do something about this problem!
