Statement by House Speaker Chris Benge regarding McMahan verdict

Statement from House Speaker Chris Benge:
"It was our intention all along to let the justice system do it's part and we made it a priority to make sure our impeachment preparations did nothing to interfere with that process," said House Speaker Chris Benge, R-Tulsa. "We will now await Mr. McMahan's decision on whether he will resign his position on his own or if the House will need to move forward with the impeachment process. I certainly hope the House doesn't have to have an expensive and redundant impeachment proceeding, but we stand ready to do so if necessary."Toolbar sponsored by: David Stanley Ford
