Jobless rate up for Oklahoma

The state unemployment rate increased last month as more Oklahomans reported trouble finding jobs and the nation's economic recovery points to a slowdown.

Oklahoma 's jobless rate was 6.9 percent in July, up from 6.8 percent in June, according to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission . The rate was 6.8 percent in July 2009.
