Statewide Virtual Charter School board members

Four of the five seats on the Statewide Virtual Charter School board are filled.

Board member Pamela Vreeland, of Jenks, is a consultant who assesses technology in schools. Previously, Vreeland worked as the director of online instructional design for the for-profit education company Performance Learning Systems and as technology and learning center manager for Tulsa Technology Center. Vreeland also was appointed by Bingman.

Board member Debbie Long, of Claremore, is CEO of Promos Advertising. She has previously worked as the executive director of Leadership Rogers County. Long was appointed by former Speaker of the House Kris Steele.

The board has two ex officio members: state schools Superintendent Janet Barresi and state Education Secretary Phyllis Hudecki.
