Four of the five seats on the Statewide Virtual Charter School board are filled. The fifth spot will be filled with an appointment by Speaker of the House T.W. Shannon.

Board Chairman John Harrington, of Edmond, is CEO at Funds For Learning, a company that helps schools get federal funding for Internet access. He also is a board member of Great Expectations, a teacher development program that focuses on motivation and a positive learning environment. Harrington was appointed by Gov. Mary Fallin.

Board Vice Chairman Jaared Scott, of Stillwater, is executive director of technology and facilities at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. He previously worked as technology center coordinator and head of software development for the Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education. Scott was appointed by Senate President Pro Tempore Brian Bingman.
