The New York Times reports that Nate Silver, proprietor of its very popular FiveThirtyEight Blog, is leaving the Times and going to work for ESPN.

Silver is best known for the accuracy of his political election predictions. Leading up to the 2008 presidential election he accurately predicted the winner in each state but Indiana. In the 2012 election he predicted each state's winner correctly, and in the same year he accurately predicted the winner in senate races in 31 of 33 state.

The Times says Silver will most likely become a regular contributor to the new talk show hosted by Keith Olbermann.
