KENT, Ohio (AP) — Steelers Pro Bowl linebacker James Harrison has given $100,000 to Kent State, his alma mater.
Harrison played for the Golden Flashes from 1999-2001. As a senior, he recorded a then-school record 12 sacks and was named first team All Mid-American Conference. However, he was not drafted by any NFL team and signed as free agent with Pittsburgh. He was named the league's top defensive player in 2008.
