What new restaurant/bar/retail are you most looking forward to in the Uptown District and why?

I'm most excited about The Rise shopping center at NW 23 and Walker. It's a game changer with the mix of retail, eateries and bars. It's what the area needs.

Last week you said you see more entertainment venues being added to the mix and there is one development that could change the game that would make Dallas & KC jealous. Any more information on this you can give us? Area? Bricktown? Deep Deuce? Midtown? Would we finally start to see concerts like the ones going to the Brady in Tulsa or Granada in Dallas coming here?

You’re mixing two different comments together. I think there is going to be increased momentum for live music throughout downtown based on projects I’m tracking in Bricktown, Midtown and Film Row.

Is the parking garage still being built as part of the Journal Record building renovation?

Yes it is. From all appearances, this is going to be a very promising development with potential to be even more than what we've seen to date.
