How cool is it in the Panhandle?

The high temperature Friday in central Oklahoma will be slightly cooler than recent days. There is a slight chance for rain Friday afternoon.

9:15 a.m. At 9:05 a.m., the temperature was 56 degrees at Kenton in the Panhandle and 86 degrees in Marshall in northern Logan County.

6:04 a.m. Temperatures will be slightly cooler Friday in central Oklahoma along with a slight chance of rain, the National Weather Service reports.

A cold front is moving into Oklahoma Friday evening, bringing cooler temperatures for the weekend and chances for rain.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain Friday afternoon with a high temperature near 93 degrees.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 93. South, southwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

Friday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 65. North, northeast wind 5 to 13 mph.

Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy with a high near 73. North wind 11 to 13 mph.
