Malcolm Kelly

Think OU might be a better team with Kelly involved? Kelly, who missed most of the third quarter with cramps, returned in time to catch a 35-yard TD that gave the Sooners a 28-21 lead. Kelly finished with 105 yards on five catches, a week after not having a pass thrown his way at Colorado.

LB pass coverage

Texas found a matchup it liked and exploited it, gashing OU with the tight end seam. Sooner LBs Curtis Lofton and Ryan Reynolds let UT's tight ends run free, and safeties D.J. Wolfe and Lendy Holmes couldn't come up in time to stop it. In all, Texas tight ends Jermichael Finley and Blaine Irby finished with 175 yards receiving.
