Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Monday that nickel back Julian Wilson, who injured his shoulder in Saturday’s win over Kansas, is expected to return to practice Tuesday.
Wilson was injured early in the 34-19 win and spent the second half watching from the sidelines without shoulder pads on and with an ice pack on the shoulder.
Oklahoma’s defense has suffered a rash of injuries over the last few weeks, losing both tackle Jordan Phillips and linebacker Corey Nelson for the season. Saturday, the Sooners were also without lineman Torrea Peterson, who was suspended for academic reasons.
Stoops did not give an update on offensive lineman Adam Shead, who also suffered an apparent shoulder injury late in the game and did not return.
