CALERA – Several people suffered injuries in a Sunday evening storm that moved through Bryan County, authorities said.
Storm damage was reported in Calera, where the schools and the city hall will be closed Monday, a Bryan County Sheriff's dispatcher reports.
Calera police reported five people went to a hospital to be treated for injuries related to the storm, according to a local television station. Electricity was restored to the east side of the city Monday morning, but the city hall and schools will remain closed, the sheriff's dispatcher reports.
The storm with damaging winds moved through Bryan County about 7 p.m. Sunday, the dispatcher reports.
