Storm victims can get free advice from lawyers — no joke
Cleveland County lawyers are offering free legal advice to storm victims, dispelling the notion that lawyers are only out for money.
NORMAN — Lawyer jokes abound. There’s even a joke about what’s wrong with lawyer jokes, with the reply to the question being, "Lawyers don’t think they’re funny, and nobody else thinks they’re jokes.”

The jokes often poke fun at the high cost of obtaining a lawyer. In the jokes, lawyers are painted in broad strokes as greedy and gleeful as they collect their money and head for the bank.
As one joke goes, how do you get a group of lawyers to smile for a photo? Just say "Fees.”
Cleveland County lawyers are out to prove the jokes wrong.
Members of the Cleveland County Bar Association have been providing free — that’s right, free — legal advice to victims of the May 10 tornado outbreak for the past two nights at Norman Public Library, 225 N Webster Ave.
