Strangers helps reunite man with dog that was taken away

Dave Thomas had no idea the news of a losing his dog to a shelter would go viral.
It all started when he was arrested last Friday for failure to appear in court for two traffic violations.
Man sobbing at animal shelter. After being jailed briefly and his dog Buzz Lightyear impounded he couldn't afford the $400 to get his pet back.
Police called animal control to take his 2-year-old pit bull mix named Buzz to the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter.
Thomas was told his dog was considered a stray, and to get Buzz back, he needed to pay more than $400 in shelter fees. He had only $6 in his pocket.
