Strong thunderstorms in central Oklahoma Wednesday

Thunderstorms are moving into the Oklahoma City area Wednesday morning.

6:50 a.m. Storms have knocked out power to 4,658 electric customers in the Oklahoma City area Wednesday morning, Oklahoma Gas & Electric. Co. website shows. There are 14, 257 customers statewide without power Wednesday morning, the website shows. Check for weather updates.

6:15 a.m. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service until 6:30 a.m. for parts of Oklahoma, Cleveland and McClain counties. Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. website shows power has been knocked out to 3,250 customers in the Oklahoma City area Wednesday morning. There are 13,491 outages statewide, the OG&E website shows. 5:40 a.m. Power has been knocked out to 2,924 Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. customers Wednesday morning in thunderstorms, the OG&E website shows.

There are 13,617 power outages reported statewide.

5:10 a.m.Thunderstorms are moving into the Oklahoma City area Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service reports.

Storms are reported in the Crescent area and the Arcadia area that are moving southeast. Storms are capable of producing rain, hail up to the size of nickels and winds up to 40 mph.

A flash flood warning remains in effect for Pawnee and west central Osage counties until 6:30 a.m., the weather service reports.
