Fierce wind gusts caused dust to blow across areas of north Oklahoma City and Edmond on Thursday morning.

Winds gusting up to 45 mph out of the west were reported by the National Weather Service. The service issued a wind advisory for much of the day in central Oklahoma.

The wind caused some power outages in the Seminole area, with more than 800 customers without power early Thursday, according to the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. website.
