Students describe victories over illiteracy

As part of its mission, the Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office publishes stories written by adult learners who have overcome their literacy challenges.

The impact of overcoming reading challenges is enriching and often poignant. The Oklahoma Department of Libraries Literacy Resource Office publishes a collection of stories written by adult learners from throughout the state. This year’s compilation, “Celebrating Our Journey, Volume 7” contains the works of more than 170 authors who wrote about celebration and tradition, struggles and victories, travel and adventure, wisdom and learning, and Poetry.
