Subverting majority beliefs

Oklahoman Published: April 30, 2014

A minority of Americans want the majority to subvert their beliefs or values in order to require acceptance of the minority’s view. This seems to be true in the case of those wanting “under God” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance or to keep a military band from playing at a National Day of Prayer event. These minority attempts go against the very Judeo-Christian values and majority rule that this country was founded upon. Perhaps churches and synagogues should protest these attempts to remove “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance or keep a military band from playing at a prayer event.
