A man told a Subway clerk not to “be a hero” during a robbery Sunday in northwest Oklahoma City.

The man told the clerk to put cash on the counter, and the robber stuffed it in his pockets before walking out the door, according to a police incident report.

The incident occurred about 8 p.m. at 2815 NW 10.

It's not clear whether the robber left on foot or in a vehicle, police said.

A “visibly shaken” worker described the robber as in his mid-30s, with blue eyes and a scruffy face.

Oklahoma City police are asking the public for help in identifying man caught on camera during the incident, Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
